Hello, Historically, it is well known fact that, apart from just entertainment musicians have reflected the pulse of the society and thereby improved unity amongst the people. Apart from working in Tamil films as a music director, I have been composing and releasing independent albums on varied social subjects for the past over 1 year. Couple of songs that I released this year “Manidha Manidha Ezhudhu Vaa” and “Zero is the Hero ” were received very well in social media. Continuing further, I have worked on a “#memesong” and released today.
“Memes” are not just a trivial internet phenomenon, they have created powerful social impacts on individuals and a generation. I see them as the “modern mimicry”. I was fascinated looking at the variety of memes such as “I.T memes, B.P.O, memes, Husband & Wife Memes”. They connect people beyond caste or age. They are very humorous at the same time thought provoking as well. Sometimes when there are fake news spread by a meme, even those get memed back and they become a trend. Memes are a very health growth and if they are further utilised well, it will help our society to stay united and grow rapidly towards the improvement as a whole. Thinking thus, I have written, composed and sung this #memesong and presenting it to you.
