1. Smt. Chitra Mohan, eldest daughter in law of M. Chandrasekaran gave the introductory speech & compeered the entire event.
2. Bharat Kumar, a disciple of M. Chandrasekaran rendered a few classical numbers followed by the screening of a film on the Violin Maestro. Mr. Murali mentioned in his speech that M. Chandrasekaran was inspired by his Mom & has been an inspiration for very many! He is a shining example of positivity & he enthrals the audience by his breathtaking performance!
3. In his address, Sri. V. V. Sundaram remarked that he takes pride in calling himself a rasigan of M. C.! A very good man at heart!- he hailed! T. N. Seshagopalan said that though M. C. is 80, he plays the violin with the spirit of an 18 year old! His Sangeetha Balam (power) is more powerful than his saareera (physical strength) balam! While accompanying big stalwarts, he will bring out the best out of them while coming up with his own best! The Felicitation Function was followed by a Jugalbandi in which Ravi Kiran(chitraveena) & Sangita Shankar( Violin).
4. Sri. Mohan Kumar, Sri. Ramanan, Sri. Murali -sons of Sri. M.Chandrasekaran, were present. Smt. Bharathi Gopalakrishnan & Sri. Gopalakrishnan (daughter & son in law of Sri. M.Chandrasekaran) were also present on the occasion.
