Kuppathu Raja featuring GV Prakash, Parthiepan and Palak Lalwani in lead roles is all set for worldwide release on April 5. The film is directed by choreographer Baba Bhaskar and is produced by S Focuss Productions. The pre-release event of this happened this evening in Chennai with entire cast and crew being a part of it.
Lyricist Logan said, “I am always inspired by hard working personalities. The entire team was so much loaded with such instances. Both Baba Bhaskar sir and GV Prakash sir motivated me a lot. I have already written lyrics for movies like Lucifer and Kaala. I am happy that audiences and media have nicely received the album.”
Actor MS Bhaskar said, “Myself and Parthiepan have been close friend for many years. He has motivated me a lot from my early days and Narendran has been the other person to be that support. I had earlier worked with GV Prakash un Kadavul Irukaan Kumaaru. I got the opportunity to spend more time with him.”
Actor Parthiepan said, “Just as the banner name is S Focuss, the entire film has been completely in focus of what is promised. Director Baba Bhaskar is like Dictator on the sets. He was so much focused on what he wanted and his narrative skills are really excellent and energetic. This is not a Thara Local film but Tharamaana Local Padam. When he narrated me the story and my character, I was quite doubtful whether I can perform this role of MG Rajendran. However, I liked the role as it involves good shades and I would look like Nambiar to GV Prakash alone. I was awestruck over his musical score in Aayirathil Oruvan and now am so much impressed with his performance. MS Bhaskar is somelike like the maverick actors like Balayya and MS Subbaiah.”
Baba Bhaskar said, “Dhanush sir was the reason behind my embarkation as a choreographer and I would credit all thanks to GV Prakash for being the pillar behind my dreams as filmmaker. When I narrated him the script, he was completely impressed and requested me to make it as promised with him in lead role. MS Bhaskar sir is someone I call Machan as we became so close on the third day of script narration itself. Parthiepan sir has done a great job in the film. Yogi Babu hasn’t merely appeared as comedian, but has done a strong role.”
GV Prakash said, “Baba Bhaskar has made a film based on what he has seen and experienced as a person in his life. Although the trailer might give an impression of a commercial movie, there is an in-depth story. I was in amazement when I saw Parthiepan sir as King in Aayirathil Oruvan and to work with him as actor. We spent more quality time together and had lots of night shoots. Working with Bala sir and Rajeev Menon sir projected me in different and unique shades. In same aspect, Baba Bhaskar has showcased me in a phenomenal role.”
Others who were present for the occasion were Art Director Kiran, Producers Siraj, Saravanan and actress Madhumitha as well.
