Premgi Amaran’s Papara Mittai – A Chartbuster Beyond Youtube And Hash Tags

When you’re hailing from a family that is flooded with musicians, it is obvious that a speculative challenge lies beneath every musical notes you compose. In particular, the scenario looks pretty much heavy, when you are born amidst wizards like Maestro Ilayaraja, Gangai Amaran, Yuvan Shankar Raja and why not? Venkat Prabhu himself. But to come out of such influences and carve a niche with uniqueness demands a whole lot of efforts. Undoubtedly, Premgi Amaran has taken his striving drive to deliver musical compositions that don’t carry their influences. With his proficiencies already proven over the times, what’s turning to be a sensational stroke is his recent track ‘Papara Mittai’ from RK Nagar.

The real success of a song isn’t just defined by the YouTube views and Hash Tags, but the way it influences people to instantly hum, sing and celebrate during special occasions. This song has become so much popular that it becomes the anthem of college students and teenagers as they cherish crooning as in groups during their train trips.

Of course, that’s ritual flavour of a Gaana song over the years and it’s delighting to see the trend recreated. The simple yet catchy lyrical lines by Kanchana Logan and the way Gaana Guna has rendered it has brought forth a ‘Chartbuster’ result for the song.

RK Nagar comes from the talented filmmaker Saravana Rajan (Vadacurry fame) featuring Vaibhav, Sana Althaf and Sampath Raj in lead roles. Anjen Kirti, Santhana Bharathi, Subbu Panchu, Inigo Prabhakaran, Karunakaran, Arvind Akash, T Siva and few more prominent actors are a part of the star-cast.

“Premji has versatility in his music. I feel he is by and large an under estimated music director. His connectivity with today’s trend makes him more valuable. Contrary to his social image Premji is a very serious music director. His re recording skills are wonderful. Iam sure RK Nagar will get him the due recognisation which Premji truly deserves as a music directo” says Director Saravana Raja.

Apart from musical score by Premgi Amaran, technical crew comprises of S Venkatesh (Cinematography) and Praveen K.L. (Editing).

The film is produced by V Rajalakshmi for Black Ticket Company in association with Badri Kasturi of Shraddha Entertainment.
