‘Out of the box’ and ‘love story’ generally don’t come together with the latest exception being “Abhiyum Anuvum” directed by B R Vijayalakshmi, starring Tovino Thomas and Pia Bajpai in the lead roles. Speaking about this, director B R Vijayalakshmi says, “ Handling this love story is like walking on a tight rope. It’s so different and delicate but when pulled off will look fabulous. This script is based on a real life incident from Latin America which also deals about the issues like long distance relationship and the role social media plays in a relationship. I must say Pia Bajpai has delivered the best performance of her life in “Abhiyum Anuvum”. The shift between a bubbly girl in the first half and an intense girl in the second half has been handled like a pro by her. Contrary to what a section of people guess the story line doesn’t have any touch what so ever with a cancer patient. Tovino Thomas has lived his character and I am very proud to launch such a talent in Tamil through “Abhiyum Anuvum”.
This movie also stars Suhasini, Prabhu, Rohini and Mano Bala in important roles. “Yoodlee” films have produced this venture and Legendary Santosh Sivan is the executive producer of the movie.
