Right from the day one since the new age cop thriller project ‘8 THOTTAKKAL’ has been on floors, the expectations of the Audience has been gradually increasing thanks to its powerful content.The expectations raised to its peak when the rhythmic master Yuvanshankar Raja has bagged the musical rights of 8 THOTTAKKAL.
Produced by M. Vellapandiyan under the banner ‘Vetrivel Saravana cinemas’ jointly with I B karthikeyan of ‘BIGPRINT Pictures’, the new-age -cop thriller ‘8 Thottakkal’ will be released in Tamilnadu by Sakthivel under the banner ‘Sakthivel Film Factory’. Directed by debutante Sri Ganesh, former assistant of Director Mysskin. The sharp-edged team of ‘8Thottakkal’ has debutante Vetri and Aparna Balamurali (Malayalam film, Maheshinte Prathikaaram fame) in the lead roles and actors Nasser, M.S.Baskar, Amma Creations T.Siva, Mime Gopi and Meera Mithun in the pivotal roles.
“Tamil film industry is filling up with young talents in a very fast manner. In that case, I can strongly say that Director Sri Ganesh will be the new addition in that list. During the narration of the script, I was not very confident but still accepted the film for his idea. But after the 1st day shoot, I was totally carried away by his professionalism. One day MS Baskar has called me to watch a particular scene of him that he has portrayed in 8 Thottakkal, and I watched it. I am very sure that MS Baskar will bag the National Award for that one particular scene” says Actor Nasser confidently.
