Sibi Sathyaraj – Auraa Cinemas Film Gets Titled “Ranger”

Having produced and distributed some of the best content driven and celebrated movies, Auraa Cinemas Mahesh G is now gearing up with the production of new film “Ranger”, which is based on true incidents involving a man eating Tigress named AVNI shot dead after claiming many lives in Yavatmal district, Maharashtra.Written & directed by Dharanidharan, who has garnered a decorous reception for his erstwhile movies like Burma, Jackson Durai and Raja Ranguski, Sibiraj plays the lead role as a forest officer with Ramya Nambeesan and Madhu Shalini appearing in important roles.

Producer Mahesh G, Auraa Cinemas says, “More than saying that the script of “Ranger” was unique, I felt it more gripping. We have come across many Man-Animal conflict based films, which were mostly had fictional backdrops. But, to see a script based on a shocking incident that happened in our country was so much appealing. In addition, Dharanidharan who is well known for blending unique tales with perfect dose of entertainment has amazingly packaged this script with engaging ingredients. To have Sibi Sathyaraj onboard is yet another advantage as audiences prefer his movies for having unique contents and this will be something different from what he has done so far.”

Furthermore, he adds, “The film will be made on a big scale and will shot extensively in the dense forests of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. In addition, we are getting some of the Hollywood’s most proficient VFX artists onboard as the movie demands for lots of CGI shots.”

Apart from Sibiraj, the others in the star-cast include Ramya Nambeesan and Madhu Shalini. Talks are going on with few more prominent artistes, who will be appearing in the vital characters. Arrol Corelli is composing music for this film,Lyrics by Uma Devi and cinematography handled by Kalyan Venkatraman and editing handled by Siva Nandheeshwaran.
