When Sathyam Cinemas overwhelmed with showers of musical vocalism through “Maaditorium –FDFS”

The Sunday morning turned to be a much celebratory occasion for the entire main screen of Sathyam Cinemas as the ‘Motta Maadi’ music band had cast its musical spell along with the jam-packed crowds for the phenomenal experience of “Maaditorium – FDFS”. The complete show had its ambience adorned with musical celebrations, where the music band imparted its routine ritual of letting the crowds turn into singers along with them. The playlist and lyrics were downloaded through a special App that worked on QR Code scanner, which made it easier for the spectators get imbibed in the celebrations.

“Maaditorium” had its origin as ‘Motta Maadi Music’, a brain child of Badri Narayanan Seshadri, A sound engineer and an independent musician. What started as an attempt made by 25-30 member group of singing together on the terrace soon ran into a big family… Now, this concept has emerged to be one of the highlighting traits of Chennaites’ Lifestyle.

Speaking about the idea of opening the cinema hall to music concerts Mr. Swaroop Reddy, Director SPI Cinemas said, “We realise that as a theatre chain we have a wide range of customers walking into our cinemas and the idea is to entertain and cater to their different interests. And we realised that a lot of audiences are eager to explore new venues and sound spaces when we hosted the Carnatic concert during the kutcheri season last year. We are happy with all the positives responses and at the end of the day we want to provide the best customer experience to our audiences whether it is watching a movie or hosting a concert.”
