Having been listed as one of the most promisingly expected flicks of 2019, Sivakarthikeyan’s Hero has nailed it perfectly when it comes to keeping the crowds in constant attention. It’s quite a harder task for a film to gain stay under limelight without having any posters of visual promos revealed. “Yes, it’s true that posters and visual promos play a major role in escalating a film’s reach, but as far as things are concerned with ‘Hero’, the team itself has offered a rise in toll from the early stages itself,” says producer Kotapadi J Rajesh of KJR Studios, who is producing the film at a whopping budget. He continues to add saying that Sivakarthikeyan itself is a bigger brand that eventually retains a healthy situation in theatres as kids-to-adults cherry pick his movies. “Hero happens to be a special venture for me as I am associated with some of the industry’s big names. To have iconic actors like Action King Arjun sir and Abhay Deol onboard is a bigger boon for me. A film can be produced in grandeur, but to get such a versatile team is a phenomenal thing. If the star-cast looks like a spectacular trait, the technical team is yet another pillar. PS Mithran’s unparalleled storytelling and filmmaking paradigm in Irumbu Thirai impressed me a lot. Much prior to our initial meeting of script session, I had presumed that he might come up with a similar themed tale, but to my surprise ‘Hero’ was entirely different and fresh in its premise. The characters he mentioned were astounding and now to have such brilliant actors playing them leaves me literally excited to see the final product. Kalyani Priyadarshan has already etched up a greater stature in South Industry and she has something greater to score herein Hero.”
Talking about the release scheduled for December 20, Kotapadi J Rajesh says, “Coming up with a big budgeted movie that is packaged with a uniquely amazing story and treatment along with huge star-cast and technicians needs its own time to get an absolute shape. We as a team are taking scrutinizing efforts in bringing the best in this aspect. Personally, I have strongly believed in the theory of ‘RIGHT THING AT THE RIGHT TIME’ and so felt that that “Hero” will be a perfect treat for the long Christmas and year end holidays.”
Yuvan Shankar Raja is composing music for this film with George C Williams handling cinematography and Ruben involved in the cuts with his editing.
