Addressing the Press and Media, Suresh Chandra Menon said, “I have been a part of film industry over the past 4 decades as a cinematographer, director and actor. I have produced lots of TV series and documentary films as well. After a long hiatus, I got back into acting after a long hiatus through series of movies like Thaana Serndha Koottam, Junga and have worked in movies like Adanga Maru, Malayalam movie ‘Lucifer’ directed by Prithviraj, Pon Manickavel and few more.
I have always carried a passion for social activities apart from my involvement in showbiz. I have worked a lot in contributing towards societal benefits. This includes constructing a public restroom for women using the scrap ship container, which is put in use in a remote village of Tamil Nadu through the help of NGO. I have given some ideas to Chennai Traffic Police, which has reduced the bottleneck congestions across many places in the city. I have been doing this out of public interest and not for the sake of monetary benefits.
The main intention behind developing this App was to impart some General Knowledge about our country India. So, I decided to come up with something that will keep them engrossed through Mobile phones. It’s so much evident that the future is sure to be encircled with Cyber age and so chose ‘Mobile App’ as the medium. While people have started using Mobile App as their main sources of shopping, ticketing and almost everything from food and groceries, So, I felt this is the right way to execute ‘My Karma’ App. The reason behind naming this so is because ‘Karma’ is a common word beyond linguistic factors…
This ‘Quiz Game’ will have multiple choice based questions through which we can inherit some interesting facts about our anthropological and historical facts about India. Just as the tagline of our App reads – Learn, Earn and Return, it engages users in gaining General Knowledge, earn money and contribute towards NGOs involved in philanthropic activities. As a first step towards this initiative, we are making our contributions towards Arunodhaya Trust. The game will be available everyday at three different slots of 7 p.m. 8 p.m. and 9 p.m.
90% of the questions will be based on Indian history, culture and geography. So far, 4000 users have downloaded this App. We have developed this endeavour with the help of our few close friends. I am privileged youngsters half my age working alongside me and we are into lots of research for new innovative idea.”
