PANDIGAI , director by Feroz and produced by Vijayalakshmi Feroz under the banner ‘Tea time talkies’ stars Kreshna and Anandhi as the lead pair and Saravanan playing an important role. R H Vikram who has impressed one and all with his music in Rangoon has once again hit the right notes with PANDIGAI. Released by “Auraa cinemas” this movie is all ready to be released on July 7th. Pandigai team press meet was held in Chennai.
“I am very particular in doing only quality roles and films after PARUTHIVEERAN , that’s the reason why i am not doing many movies nowadays. I liked the story and my role when Feroz narrated PANDIGAI to me. He has all the making to be a very good director, I saw that while filming. He has delivered a wonderful product” said actor Saravanan.
“Just like ‘Angaadi theru’ this movie also offered me a meaty role that travels throughout the movie. Director Feroz has given an oppurtunity to go the next level in my career. I am doing three films with Kreshna sir including PANDIGAI, the other two are planned to be released soon ” said ‘Black’ Pandi.
” I spoke to Vijayalakshmi and associated myself with PANDIGAI after seeing its impressive poster and teaser. Not many directors will be ready to show their movie before release, but Feroz was confident about his movie and played the footage and even asked my opinions. After ‘Kazhugu’ and ‘Yaamirukka bayamen’ this movie will take Kreshna’s career graph to the next level. Feroz is a stylish filmmaker. I would like him to direct his next movie for our banner. Hats off to Vijayalakshmi for trusting PANDIGAI’s script and producing it. We are geared up to take this movie to the people in a massive way. We have also planned to have a press show 2-3 days before the release ” said “Auraa cinemas” Mahesh.
“One day when Vijalakshmi called and asked me if i can listen to feroz’s script. I accepted. This is the first time i think the director narrated the first half and the producer narrated the second half to an actor. I was relieved when Feroz said i don’t have to have six packs for this role. After Vishnuvardhan , I must admit Feroz is one director who extracted maximum from me as an actor. He made me do things in a very subtle way. Anandhi’s powerful and beautiful eyes are a huge plus for her. I am sure ‘Auraa cinemas’ Mahesh who has been doing a great job till ‘Maya’ will take PANDIGAI to the next level with his promotions and huge release ” said actor Kreshna. “When I wanted to become an actress my whole family supported me , wheareas when i wanted to produce movies they advaised against it. My friend Kreshna has worked so hard in this movie that he was hardly seen inside his caravan during the shoot. There was a healthy comepetition between all the technicians of this movies as to who’s work is the best. I must say everyone has delivered their best. ‘Auraa cinemas’ Mahesh is working equally hard to make PANDIGAI bigger. I wish to make four more movies after PANDIGAI’s release ” said Producer Vijayalakshmi Feroz.
“I narrated PANDIGAI’s script to many heroes. Even though they liked it , for unknown reasons , things didn’t happen. That’s when we ourselves decided to produce it. Right from the first we wanted Kreshna, Anandhi and Saravanan sir to do these roles. Stunt masters Anbu Arivu were brilliant and their contribution is immense as this movie is based on illegal street fighting. I am thankful to ‘Auraa cinemas’ Mahesh for having the faith in PANDIGAI and investing huge money. I am sure he will make this movie very big. After watching the teaser and trailer many people are asking me if this was inspired from ‘Fight club’. The answer is NO. ‘Pandigai’ is about the real life incidents and street fights that i have witnessed in Anna nagar between two gangs. Interestingly they are not rival gangs. They are friends who fight for the kick of it and go back home after fighting as friends. PANDIGAI will have raw Chennai flavour completely ” said director Feroz.
