Team Chennai 600028-II launched the film’s Official Merchandise in association with Fully Filmy

Teaser launches, trailer launches, first look launches are a thing of the past! In an effort to change the game of movie promotion, director Venkat Prabhu and the cast of Kollywood’s most awaited sequel, Chennai 600028 – II launched a brand new line of Official Chennai 600028 products in collaboration with Fully Filmy, the one-stop shop for movie merchandise in India. This star studded event was not like any other launch event; but was like a fun reunion of long lost friends.The energy level at the venue resembled of a cricket stadium!
The team’s first film, Chennai 600028 featured an ensemble cast of newcomers and explored the theme of street cricket matches in Chennai. The film broke many rules, set several trends and became a cult favourite of the youth, giving rise to popular quotes and pop culture elements that are a rage even today.
In order to capitalise on the frenzy that surrounds the film, director Venkat Prabhu along with cast members Premgi Amaren, Vijay Vasanth, Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, Nithin Sathyaa and Mirchi Shiva launched an exciting new range of products at the Fully Filmy store at Phoenix Marketcity, Velachery, Chennai on Sunday, October 30, 2016.  However, with the film’s release set in late November, this is just the beginning of their collaboration and there will be many, many interesting announcements on the way!
Fully Filmy is one of India’s very few movie merchandise brands that was started in June 2015 with the aim of harnessing the potential of the Indian population’s love for films. While movie merchandise is a culture in the West, it is still relatively in its nascent stages in India considering the fact that we are the largest producers and consumers of cinema in the world, and Fully Filmy are the flag bearers of this newly emerging trend. Fully Filmy has already teamed up with some of Kollywood’s biggest releases in the past year like Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani, Wunderbar FIlms’ Maari and Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, and this year’s Vikram starrer Iru Mugan to name a few.
